Old Oaks Steakhouse

After years of quiet anticipation – A New Classic Rises Where Legends Once Dined – the velvet curtain has finally lifted on Old Oaks Steakhouse, which officially opened its doors on April 9, 2025. Housed in the former Corrigan’s space on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, this newcomer wears its legacy with pride while carving out a new standard for modern steakhouse dining in the Conejo Valley.

Where Past Meets Present
The address—556 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.—has long been familiar to local steak lovers, but Old Oaks reimagines it entirely. From 5 PM to 10 PM, the dining room glows with soft amber lighting and the scent of woodsmoke, thanks to the custom grill at its heart. The bar hums with energy well into midnight, luring guests with its collection of rare whisky, aged cognacs, and barrel-selected tequilas.

A Menu That Honors Craft
Executive Chef David isn’t just serving dinner—he’s curating an experience. Dry-aged cuts like porterhouse, ribeye, and filet mignon arrive with precision char and decadent depth, while the indulgent A5 Japanese Wagyu is an unapologetic showstopper. Seafood lovers will be equally enchanted: the Chilean seabass is delicately crisped, the lobster tail butter-poached to perfection, and the scallops seared with golden edges.

But don’t skip the overture. Starters like roasted bone marrow and paper-thin beef carpaccio nod to continental grandeur, while the towering seafood platter and delicate sashimi speak to a worldly palate. Sides go beyond the expected—truffle fries, creamed spinach, and Hasselback potatoes topped with glistening pearls of caviar.

Atmosphere & Evenings That Linger
The vibe? Think leather banquettes, polished wood, and a jazz soundtrack that makes you want to stay for just one more round. It’s part club, part supperhouse—where every detail feels intentional, and no one’s rushing the night. Occasional live music and surprise performances add a touch of drama to the dining experience, making Old Oaks a destination as much as a restaurant.

Outside smoking area after 9pm and until 12am on weekends

There is also an after-hours area outside to enjoy your whisky with a cigar. The owners of Old Oaks Steakhouse also own Old Oaks Cigar & Wine just a mile from the restaurant.
